刘遵义

香港中文大学蓝饶富暨蓝凯丽经济学讲座教授

刘遵义教授于 1964 年获得史丹福大学物理学理学士学位,并先后于 1966 年与 1969 年于 加州大学柏克莱分校获得经济学文学硕士及哲学博士学位。他自 1966 年起任教于史丹福大学经济系,1976 年晋升为正教授,1992 年出任李国鼎经济发展讲座教授。刘教授于 2004 年至 2010 年间担任香港中文大学校长,2006 年自史丹福大学退休并出任李国鼎经济发展 荣休讲座教授,2010 年至 2014 年间担任中投国际(香港)有限公司董事长,并自 2007 年至今兼任香港中文大学蓝饶富暨蓝凯丽经济学讲座教授。刘教授现任中国人民政治协商 会议第十二届全国委员会委员及其经济委员会副主任。他也是中国国际经济交流中心副理 事长、中华人民共和国国家统计局顾问、香港外汇基金咨询委员会成员及其管治委员会主席及台北蒋经国国际学术交流基金会董事会成员。

 

Ralph and Claire Landau Professor of Economics

The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Professor Lawrence J. Lau received his B.S. degree in Physics from Stanford University and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He joined the Department of Economics, Stanford University in 1966, becoming Professor of Economics in 1976 and the Kwoh-Ting Li Professor in Economic Development in 1992.  He retired from Stanford University in 2006 and was appointed the Kwoh-Ting Li Professor in Economic Development, Emeritus.  He served as the Vice-Chancellor (President) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2004 to 2010, and the Chairman of CIC International (Hong Kong) Co., Limited from 2010 to 2014.  Since 2007, he has been serving concurrently as the Ralph and Claire Landau Professor of Economics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Lau is a member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a Vice- Chairman of its Economic Subcommittee. He currently serves as a Vice-Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, an Adviser to the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China, a Member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Chairman of its Governance Sub-Committee, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange, Taipei.
