Secretary-General Li Baodong Met with Ambassador of Republic of Singapore

On December 27th, Mr. Li Baodong,Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) met with Ambassador Lui Tuck Yew of the Republic of Singapore to China at the BFA Secretariat.

Secretary-General Li Baodong said that Singapore is one of the initial countries of Boao Forum for Asia, and has always played an active role in BFA activities. Then Senior Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had previously attended BFA Annual Conferences. Former leaders of Singapore have also served as BFA Directors and member of the Advisory Committee respectively, which further elaborates the close cooperation between the two sides. This year BFA Vice Chairman Zhou Xiaochuan visited Singapore to broaden our scope of cooperation. It is hoped that Singapore will continue to support Boao Forum for Aisa and make Asian voice heard calling for multilateralism and free trade.

Amb. Lui Tuck Yew said that Boao Forum for Asia has developed into a platform for all countries to exchange views on international situations and cutting-edge issues, and that BFA has been leading the way not only in economic, but also many other fields. Singapore is looking forward to participating in BFA Annual Conference 2020, and would like to promote global and regional economic growth together with Boao Forum for Asia.
