Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne自2014年起担任瓦勒里市长和约纳省参议员,并自2011年以来担任约纳省众议员。自1996年起,他一直参与青年共和党运动,并在24岁时当选法国自由民主党巴黎第四区委员。Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne毕业于斯特拉斯堡政治学院、法国圣西尔军校和埃塞克商学院后,最先是在IBM开始了职业生涯,后加入让-弗朗索瓦·高备的团队(2002-2007年,让-弗朗索瓦·高备先后担任多个部长级职位,包括对议会关系国务秘书、内务和预算部长代表)。2007-2014年,他担任国民议会法国人民运动联盟副秘书长。他曾担任共和党贸易和小型企业国务秘书和约纳省共和党主席,直至2017年3月辞去两个职位。他在中右翼阵营总统初选中支持阿兰·朱佩,随后在2017年3月宣布支持埃马纽埃尔·马克龙,声称“作为右翼阵营的候选人,弗朗索瓦·菲永已经表明了他的立场,因此我将收回我的自由”。他是首位宣称支持“前进党”( En Marche!)候选人的共和党议员。在参议院,他属于共和党,在其社会事务委员会任职,是埃尔-库姆里法案的起草人。他还是法国-西非友好小组(科特迪瓦)副组长。

Mayor of Vallery and Senator for the Yonne department since 2014, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne has also been a Councillor for the Yonne department since 2011. Since 1996, he has been involved in the Young Republicans Movement and was elected to the council of Paris’ 4th district under the Démocratie Libérale party at the age of 24. After graduating from the Institute of Political Studies in Strasbourg, the Ecole Spéciale Militaire of Saint-Cyr and the ESSEC Business School in Paris, he started his career with IBM before joining Jean-François Copé’s team in his various ministerial offices from 2002 to 2007 (Minister of State for Relations with Parliament, Minister Delegate for the Interior and Budget Minister). From 2007 to 2014, he was Deputy Secretary-General of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) group within the National Assembly. He was national secretary for trade and small-scale industry with the Les Républicains party and President of the Fédération Les Républicains for the Yonne department until March 2017 when he resigned from both positions. He offered his support to Alain Juppé during the right and centre presidential primaries and then announced his support for Emmanual Macron in March 2017 stating “the candidate from the right – François Fillon – has taken a stand so I will take back my freedom”. He was the first Les Républicains MP to announce his support for the En Marche! candidate. In the Senate, he is affiliated to the Les Républicains group and sits on the Social Affairs Committee where he is a rapporteur for the “El Khomri” law. He is Deputy President of the France-West Africa Friendship Group for the Côte d’Ivoire.
