Boao Forum for Asia

As a non-government, non-profit organization, Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) is the most prestigious and premier forum for leaders in government, business and academia in Asia and other continents to share visions on the most pressing issues in this dynamic region and the world at large.  The Forum is committed to promote regional economic integration and bring Asia countries even closer to their development goals. Initiated in 1998 by Fidel V Ramos, former president of the Philippines, Bob Hawke, former Prime Minister of Australia, and Morihiro Hosokawa, former Prime Minister of Japan, Boao Forum for Asia was officially established in February 2001.  Countries across the region have responded with strong support and great enthusiasm, and the world has listened attentively to the voice coming from a tiny, quiet and scenic island at the southernmost part of China – Boao, the permanent site of the Annual Conference of the Forum since 2002.

Macao Youth Federation

Macao Youth Federation was established on September 15, 2006. Supported and valued by the government of Macao Special Administrative Region, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R., and the local community, it provides multifarious services for the youth, aiming to contact and unite the local community and  the youth organizations, improve the communication between the youth of Macao and the youth worldwide, promote mental and physical health of youth, assist the social development of Macao, and devote itself to the successful practice of the “One Country, Two Systems”.

How different cities characterize and dominate in different sectors and what experiences can be learnt from the current construction of the smart city will be discussed.

-In modern times, youth talents who represent the future of the world have become one of the pivotal elements in a country’s competitiveness. What is the role of the youth talents and how they affect the future of Asia?

-Youth talents can be attracted through different sorts of incentive measures, and a series of provisional regulations of non-higher, higher, elite and professional education. What is the tendency of the development of youth talents in their respective fields? How to take advantage of one's aptitude in the cultivation?


·The “Belt and Road” and the Specialized Financial Services

- Financial integration is a major component of the development of the “Belt and Road”. As the countries along the “Belt and Road” have their own different economic status, how to provide sustainable financial sources to cater for the needs of these countries? In this situation, what are the opportunities and challenges that the financial industry will meet?

- Adopting the strategy of promoting moderate economic diversification, Macao is focusing on developing its specialized financial services, including the realms such as expanding financial leasing, wealth management, Sino-Portuguese financial services, transaction system of green finance and so on. How do the specialized financial services interact with the financial industry of other cities? How the specialized financial services involve themselves into the construction of the “Belt and Road”, in order to achieve a win-win situation?
