On October 27, the Boao Forums for Asia's (BFA) 4th members and partners activity in 2016, a tour of Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City, was held in Yuhang District, Hangzhou. The activity was attended by BFA Secretary General Zhou Wenzhong together with BFA members and partners, including Tata Group, Takeda Pharmaceutical, Riverside Group, Mead Johnson, Wuzhou International, Taishin International Bank, Rarone and JFM International Group Ltd.

Accompanied by Zhao Xikai, Vice Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City, the delegation visited the exhibition halls of the city planning and Dream Village, as well as innovative hi-tech companies including The 7th Space Incubator and Zero Zero Robotics.

According to Vice Chairman Zhao, the Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City and Dream Village have been growing fast since they were created a few years ago. He added that the administrative committee will focus on sectors such as IT and electronics, biomedicine, new energy and materials, equipment manufacturing and R&D, software, creativity, design, financial intermediary services and manufacturing-related services to create an integrated cluster of manufacturing and service industries. Currently, the City has developed a comprehensive policy framework to facilitate talent attraction, R&D and technology incubation, as well as to support innovative and entrepreneurial activities by experts from home and abroad. Their vision is to build a special talent zone, a technology-driven economy that benefits from mutual reinforcement between industries and urban development, as well as an international cradle of Internet companies. Currently, the City has already become a leading incubator of new and high technologies in China.

BFA Secretary General Zhou Wenzhong expressed his gratitude to the Administrative Committee of the Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City for its support to the activity and gave high recognition for its accomplishments. Visiting members and partners were also impressed by the local pro-innovation and entrepreneurship environment, state-of-the-art infrastructure and efficient and high quality services, believing that more innovators and entrepreneurs will be attracted here to pursue their dreams.
