After listening to the speeches of entrepreneurs, Xi Jinping delivered an important speech. Xi Jinping pointed out that Chinese economy is deeply integrated with the global economy and forms an important driving force of the economy of Asia and even the world at large. China’s economic benefit and quality are now improving; economic structural adjustment is undergoing positive changes; major progress is being made in deepening reforms and opening-up; and the new situation emerges in the opening-up. China’s economic development has entered into a new normal and will evolve into a phase with more advanced form, more complicated division of labor and more reasonable structure. This is also the starting point for us to do our economic work well. Under the new normal, in order to achieve new development and new breakthrough, it is the key to comprehensively deepen reforms and comprehensively implement national governance under the rule of law.

Xi Jinping stressed that at present, China’s interaction with the world is becoming increasingly closer and the relationship of sharing opportunities and destinies is becoming increasingly prominent. The connotations of Chinese opportunities are being expanded continuously.

China’s market opportunities are expanding. China will still stay in the rising stage of development in a rather long period to come, with huge domestic demand. China’s household consumption enjoys large space for expansion, and the enterprises providing safe and quality products and services will have good development prospects.

China’s investment opportunities are expanding. Investment opportunities in infrastructure connectivity as well as in new technologies, new products, new business patterns, and new business models are constantly springing up. Emerging industries, service industries and small and micro businesses are playing more prominent roles. The development of miniaturized, intelligentized and specialized production is bringing about more opportunities.

China’s green opportunities are expanding. We shall go along a path of green development, making resource saving and environmental friendliness the main mode of production and life. We are now boosting energy production and consumption revolution, optimizing energy structure, implementing the policy of energy conservation priority, and pushing forward energy conservation in key fields.

China’s foreign cooperation opportunities are expanding. We support the multilateral trading system, devote ourselves to the Doha Round negotiations, advocate the Asia-Pacific free trade zone, promote negotiations on regional comprehensive economic partnership, advocate the construction of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), boost economic and financial cooperation in an all-round manner, and work as an active promoter of economic globalization and regional integration.

Xi Jinping stressed that the initiatives of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road proposed by us will promote the trade and investment between China and the countries along the routes, promote the connectivity and new-type industrialization of countries along the routes, and promote the common development of all countries as well as the peoples’ joint enjoyment of development fruits. We hope that the annual trade volume between China and the countries along the routes will surpass 2.5 trillion USD in a decade or so. We hope that our entrepreneurial friends will enhance connection, innovate cooperative models and jointly explore new approaches to exploiting the market and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results with all kinds of Chinese enterprises, the Silk Road Fund and the AIIB to be established soon. We hope that entrepreneurs will continue to pay attention to and care for China’s economic development, seize Chinese opportunities and set foot on the new development journey of China with us.
