泽田康幸

亚洲开发银行首席经济学家、亚洲开发银行经济研究和区域合作局局长

泽田康幸为亚洲开发银行(亚行)首席经济学家。他是亚行在经济发展趋势方面的首席发言人,兼任经济研究和区域合作局局长。该部门主要负责出版亚行旗舰知识产品。

任现职之前,泽田康幸先生曾任东京大学经济学研究科教授。泽田先生为日本籍经济学家、研究员和学者,拥有20余年的从业经验。他曾就职于东京的亚洲开发银行学院,也曾作为咨询顾问参与了世界银行集团的众多项目。泽田先生是发展经济学和应用微观计量经济学的领军人物,曾任斯坦福大学国际发展研究中心访问学者和高丽大学经济学兼职教授。

泽田先生在进行过许多实地研究,对发展问题有深刻的见解。他的研究对许多发展研究机构作出了重要贡献,包括日本国际协力机构、孟加拉国发展研究所、澳大利亚国立大学克劳福德公共政策学院的澳大利亚-日本研究中心,以及巴基斯坦发展经济学研究所。他还发表并评述了大量著作、报告和期刊文章,重点关注经济学、灾害应对能力和灾后恢复、外国援助以及贫困动态性研究。

他持有斯坦福大学国际发展政策硕士学位及经济学博士学位。此外,他还拥有庆应义塾大学经济学学士学位、东京大学国际关系学及大阪大学经济学硕士学位。

 

Chief Economist, Director General, Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department, Asian Development Bank

Yasuyuki Sawada is Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He is the chief spokesperson for ADB on economic and development trends, and serves as Director General of the Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department, which publishes ADB’s flagship knowledge products.

Prior to assuming his current post, Mr. Sawada was a professor at the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Economics. A Japanese national, Mr. Sawada has over 20 years of experience as an economist, researcher, and academic. He has worked at the ADB Institute in Tokyo and served as consultant for various projects at the World Bank Group. A leading figure in development economics and applied microeconometrics, he has also served as a visiting professor at Stanford University’s Stanford Center for International Development and adjunct professor of economics at Korea University.

Mr. Sawada has conducted many field studies in developing countries and has a deep insight about development issues. His research has contributed to the works of various development institutions including the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies, Crawford School of Public Policy’s Australia–Japan Research Center at the Australian National University, and the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics. He has published and reviewed numerous books, reports, and journal articles, particularly on the topics of economics, disaster resilience and recovery, foreign aid, and poverty dynamics.

Mr. Sawada holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master’s degree in International Development Policy at Stanford University. He received Master’s degrees in International Relations at the University of Tokyo and in Economics at Osaka University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Keio University.
