How the BFA Annual Conference 2015 arranged?

On October 29th, 2014, XI Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China meets with the members of the board of directors of the Boao Forum for Asia(BFA), who gathered in Beijing for a working conference. FUKUDA, on behalf of the BFA, invited XI to attend the Annual Conference of the BFA 2015. XI accepted the invitation.

According to the BFA Board of Directors’ working meeting held on October 29, 2014, from next year on, the BFA annual conference will be held on the last weekend of March, and the duration will be extended to four days. The four-day structure of the BFA Annual Conference 2015 will be more balanced and focused.

The first day features closed-door meetings and conferences of the Boao Community. The second day focuses on technological innovation. The third day centers on the opening ceremony and keynote speeches that highlight macro-economy.

There should be more meetings for industry leaders. Closed-door meetings should be held for 20-30 industry leaders according to the industries of attending global and Asian high-profile entrepreneurs. The meetings are expected to review the situation of the industries over the past year and deliberate on the outlook of the industry’s development in the next year, according to the BFA Board of Directors’ working meeting held on October 29, 2014.

There should be more high-level bilateral or multi-lateral dialogues for CEOs during the BFA Annual Conference and such dialogues will supplement the bilateral or multi-lateral dialogues for the governments. The mechanism should be extended from the current dialogues for CEOs from Australia, Russia, Japan and China to those for other Asian economies including South Korea and outside economies such as European countries and the United States.
