Secretary-general Zhou Wenzhong meets with the Delegation of U.S. Congressional Aides

On August 3, 2017, Secretary-General Zhou Wenzhong met at the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Secretariat with the Delegation of U.S. Congressional Aides, which paid a visit to China as arranged by the Asian Foundation.

Mr. Zhou introduced to the delegation the 16-year development of the BFA, and its achievements in promoting regional cooperation in Asia and the exchange and cooperation between Asia and other continents. Mr. Zhou invited the delegation members to participate in related sessions during the BFA Annual Conference and the special conferences held overseas by the BFA.

Mr. Brad Welling, who led the delegation to China, is the Senior Advisor to and Director of the Asian Foundation. He thanked Mr. Zhou for his reception of the delegation and praised Mr. Zhou for his contribution to the U.S.-China relations during his tenure as China's ambassador to the United States. Mr. Brad Welling hoped that members of the delegation would deepen their understanding of China and the forum through this meeting.

Mr. Zhou gave his views on the current China-U.S. relations, the economic landscape in China and Asia, and the international and regional hot issues to the delegation members upon request.
